The LORD is the stronghold of my life – of whom shall I be afraid? But fear, we do.
I love the suggestion that hope springs eternal even when the odds and circumstances suggest otherwise.
We all want to be number one.
So we went – and we listened – and we watched. And then we went home. I thought that was it. Boy, was I wrong.
Faithful and loving God, we continue to marvel in your willingness to take our burdens from us.
It’s election day in America. We have much to be thankful for – and much to confess.
It is easy to see how God is faithful and loving when the water parts before us and our enemies fall down at our sides. What if we recount our failures in the midst of God’s mighty acts?
What if we had the courage to stand up to hate? What if we said, “No!” to the false narrative that says this is normal? What if we could learn to choose love?
We live most of our life in Ordinary Time. Should we throw away our moments so easily?
Even in the labyrinth where we can’t take a wrong turn, we can still take a wrong step. It doesn’t take us off the path but we might miss the fullness of what God hopes for us.
