way

Way.  It seems as though we are always trying to make it, find it, or losing it.  And even when we appear to have it, we decide it’s too much, too far, or too hard.  Then, we look for a way in or a way out.  I think we are an impossible people.

I suppose we should always be discontent.  We are always on our way but we never arrive.  The world will continue to be broken until all is made new.  I am continue to be in a state of sin even though my heart has been made new.

We are meant to pause and consider the view.  To stop and smell the roses (literally and figuratively).  To consider who is on the path with us.  To revel in God’s provision – both in the journey thus far and as we continue along the way.

Right now, I’m sitting on my porch listening to the much-needed rain.  I continue to be ever surprised at how the plants seem to grow over night. I think God created new colors of green. And for a moment, while the world is still broken and I have sins yet unconfessed, I can embrace the moment of the way I’m on and be thankful.

What does it matter?
Just this, that Christ is proclaimed in every way
whether out of false motives or true;
and in that I rejoice.
– Philippians 1:18 (NRSV)

    To revel in God’s provision……. Yes! This is good, Michelle! It struck me about always being discontent. Isn’t that so true, that until we are with Him where we belong we will always be discontent. Thanks for sharing, Cindy #fmf
